Staff Accountant - Start Immediately

LHH Recruitment Solutions (fka Accounting Principals) is looking for a Staff Accountant for a client of ours in the Hudson, OH area. As a key member of our finance team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and assisting with various accounting tasks. You should be detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close procedures including preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, assist in tax filings, and prepare variance analysis reports.

• Manage the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and maintain supporting documentation.

• Process payroll transactions, assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, and participate in special projects.

• Coordinate with external auditors, prepare financial reports and analysis, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and monitor cash flow while maintaining compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 1-3 years of accounting experience

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, Great Plains, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel (very heavy with formulas, manual reporting, pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)

• Knowledge of GAAP, financial principles, and reporting requirements.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and collaborate with team members.

Job Type: Direct Hire/Permanent

Location: Hudson, OH

Schedule: Flexible hours between 7:30 am – 5 pm | fully in office for training and then hybrid after

Pay: $50 – 60k (depending on experience)
