Staff Accountant - with Great Benefits

Robert Half is looking to bring a short-term contract / temporary to hire Staff Accountant with exceptional organization skills and know-how into a growing organization in the Manufacturing industry. The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. You will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will provide support in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, review schedules for the reporting processes, and work alongside our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This very involved position works to produce Cash Flow projections, Financial Statements, and Budgets. Your responsibilities

- Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

- Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision

- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

- Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process

- Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings

- Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

- Maintain intricate journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

- Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner

- Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Recent and relevant accounting experience

- Competent with spreadsheets and databases

- Vow to meet business deadlines

- Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

- Efficient in ERP systems

- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- Self-starter and strong ethical standards

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

- General familiarity with SyteLine

- Practical knowledge of Syteline ERP

- Deep understanding of Post Invoices

- Manage Vendor Relationships experience

- Quality experience with Epicor

- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Well-founded grasp of Time and attendance

- Expertise in data entry

- Foundational knowledge in Check Runs

- Proven knowledge of Time Cards
