Job Description

Elementary Teacher K-5

St. Leo the Great Catholic School is seeking qualified applicants for a classroom teacher. The teacher will work daily in a Catholic faith-filled teaching environment focused on the development of the whole student- intellectually, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially.

General Responsibilities:

• Upholds the philosophy of Catholic education, stewardship and models the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Maintains effective classroom management and cultivates an atmosphere conducive to learning
• Creates, follows and provides a developmentally appropriate curriculum that includes differentiated instruction
• Adapts classroom lessons instruction for individualized learning
• Exhibits flexibility in the day-to-day school environment
• Actively participates in teacher collaboration and articulation
• Participates in ongoing professional development and maintains the appropriate Catechist Certification
• Incorporates technology into the learning environment and classroom

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education
• A practicing Catholic
