This position is responsible for estimating exterior renovation and new construction work. Responsibilities include estimation, light sales, and preparation of multifamily exterior renovation, redevelopment and/or new construction.
Job Title: Estimator (3+ years) Project Types: Multi-Family, Mixed-Use
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform all responsibilities of an Lead Estimator including but not limited to the following:
• Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing
• Propose value engineering options to reduce project cost
• Coordinate subcontract solicitations and job walks
• Determine costs of labor, material, and equipment
• Push the evolution of the construction documents as necessary
• Experience with different styles of delivery methods
• Take the lead in the estimating of renovation projects by doing site visits, take offs, piece counts and/or contacting and soliciting bids from subcontractors and vendors.
• Research general contractor licensing requirements.
• Research with accuracy all permit applications and fees.
• Assist with project set up and accurate turnover at time of contract.
• Execution support for team members.
Skills & Qualification:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related.
• 3+ years managing projects for a reputable Multi-Family or Residential Construction team(s).
• Experience leading a team of estimators (2-3)
