Receiving Coordinator - Immediate Start

General Description

Under the direction of the Shipping & Receiving Manager, the Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for receiving, checking in and processing deliveries. They must verify and unpack incoming goods and will be responsible for putting goods away correctly to the proper locations. A detailed hands-on and organized individual can find success in this role. In this role, they must have above average communication skills. Can build effective cross-departmental relationships and provide vision for continuous improvement within their area of responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Receive all incoming materials and load/unload trucks.
2. Route the appropriate materials or components per work orders, customer orders, or by sales order line item and deliver to the designated work sites, shipping areas, other locations, or manufacturing.
3. Process and complete all related and/or required computer transactions timely and accurately.
4. Interact with purchasing, sales, and manufacturing.
5. Create, complete, and maintain any required paperwork and documents; etc. to include attaching identifying tags/labels to materials/products.
6. Pick, pull, and route the appropriate materials or components per sales order line items as needed.
7. Receive materials with the ability to manage multiple storage locations maintaining an inventory control system.
8. Assist with inventory management by performing cycle counts, and various projects as time permits.
9. Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, assistance available for moving/lifting.
10. Ability to obtain a forklift operator's certificate.
11. Helps drive and support BCT's Culture and Core Values.

Education and/or Experience

• 3-5 years of shipping/receiving or job-related experience; or a related combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires lifting.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Multi-tasking skills required with a sense of urgency.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Self-Motivated and a team player.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Class D valid license.
• Material Handling experience (5 years preferred, not required).
• Overhead Crane/Forklift experience (3 years preferred, not required).

Work Environment

This job operates in a factory environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is often loud enough to require hearing protection.
