We are seeking a Shipping Operator for a position in Donora, PA.
Hours are 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Job Duties:
* Load and unload palletized products from tractor-trailers using forklifts.
* Drive company truck between local manufacturing plants and warehouse locations as needed to support manufacturing operations.
* Prepare, present and/or approve bills of lading and shipping documents.
* Perform visual quality checks of materials prior to loading or unloading trucks. Report quality variances to the proper channels.
* Organize and secure raw materials and packaging materials in a safe manner.
* Shrink wrap pallets to prepare them for shipping.
* Weigh products and/or loads and record weight.
* Consult and coordinate with manager, employees, and other departments regarding loading and unloading operations.
* Inspect and report any faulty equipment, damage to racks or product, or other potential safety hazards.
* Maintain equipment by cleaning, recharging, refueling, etc.
Expectations for this role include:
* Proficient basic math skills.
* Prior forklift experience.
* Valid Driver"s License (CDL Class A preferred or willingness and ability to secure Class A CDL within 3 months).
