Warehouse Shipping Clerk - Hiring Urgently

The company is currently seeking to complement their team by adding an experienced Warehouse Shipping Clerk.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Warehouse Shipping Clerk is responsible for providing proactive, solution-driven service to the company's customers, vendors, sales teams, and suppliers. Daily requirements for shipping department personnel that are to be completed thoroughly and on time include:

• Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments
• Assemble and prepare orders for both domestic and international shipments 
• Confirm that all necessary shipping/receiving documentation are filled out accurately and completely to meet all transportation requirements
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and approve returns, correspond with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Maintain communication with both shipping and service providers consistently 
• Interface with both Customer Service and Bookkeeping departments
• Order necessary shipping supplies
• Suggest areas of costs savings and process improvements related to transportation and supplies
• Interface with bookkeeping/accounting regarding adjustments
• Adjust/update PO's once goods arrive
• Assist with receiving + shipping CFA's
• Post tracking information on company invoices, forward to client + representative
• Pick up + delivery from local finisher
• Interface with Fed Ex + UPS shipping manager as needed
• Work with bookkeeping in correcting inventory issues
• Review/process/facilitate international shipping documents

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 

• Minimum 1-year experience working in a warehouse environment
• High School diploma. GED or Vocational diploma
• Comprehension and knowledge of textile and vinyl inspections a plus. Background in shipping and receiving
• Experience with Measure graph inspection table a plus
• Understanding of QuickBooks software
• Basic knowledge of warehouse logistics
• Ability to audit freight bills for accuracy

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, and kneel
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of successfully perform the job requirements
