Description:
The Chemical Blending Technician will be responsible for the following:
- A safe, efficient and continuous operation of assigned blending responsibilities and equipment on a daily basis, based on company standards.
- Ensuring that quality products are produced in the appropriate quantity and within the established guidelines.
- Working as a productive leader/member of the manufacturing team and independently.
- Keeping blending equipment sanitized.
- Maintaining and monitoring water systems and waste water disposal. Monitor all production to ensure lotion requirements are met.
- Trained and qualified to perform work on the following laboratory equipment for solution testing: (Including calibration)
- ---pH meter - pH levels
- ---Chlorine meter – Chlorine levels

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Perform cleaning and sanitization of process equipment and blending areas.
- Conduct chemical raw material inventories as needed.
- Perform written and verbal communication with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing personnel using process measurement data recorded in Quality Windows and Out-of-Specification (OOS) variable/attribute testing when necessary.
- Place all non-conforming items on hold using Company’s Hold/Reject process.
- Assist in the root cause determination, corrective action taken, and documentation process.
- Comply with all processes and procedures for all applicable regulatory agencies.
- Proper handling and disposal of chemicals and understanding the GHS codes
- A working understanding of the Shop Orders and Bill of Materials.
- Understand and comply with all lockout/tag-out procedures.
Experience Level:
- Experience using Microsoft Office products and SPC programs
- Experience in a chemical handling is ideal
- Experience operating a forklift
