Full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) Job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Hiring Urgently

Requirements:

• Must meet all requirements set forth by local and state regulations for Occupational Therapist licensure and certification.
• Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.

Job Description: The Occupational Therapist will play a vital role in supporting the educational success and well-being of students through the delivery of occupational therapy services. Key duties and responsibilities include:

1. Conducting prehensive evaluations to assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
2. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized goals and intervention plans based on assessment findings.
3. Providing direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, to address identified needs and promote skill development.
4. Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and strategies to improve students' participation and performance in academic and functional activities.
5. Modifying classroom environments and remending adaptive equipment or assistive technology to support students' access and engagement in educational tasks.
6. Monitoring student progress, collecting data, and adjusting intervention plans as needed to ensure meaningful outes.
7. Providing consultation and training to school staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies for promoting independence, sensory regulation, and motor development.
8. Collaborating with the IEP team to develop, review, and revise Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address students' occupational therapy needs.
9. Maintaining accurate documentation of evaluation results, therapy sessions, progress reports, and munication with stakeholders.
10. Participating in team meetings, professional development activities, and other school-related functions as required.
