Job Description - Manager, Product Management

DESCRIPTION

Amazon’s Ops Tech Solutions Supply Chain (OTS-SC) plans, sources, makes and delivers IT equipment necessary to empower YoY multi-billion dollar Amazon’s Worldwide Stores Business. OTS-SC responsibilities include Product Management, Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Procurement, Warehousing, Transportation and Replacement and Disposal of IT equipment. Within OTS-SC, the Product Management team is responsible for Management team is responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate product and bill of material catalogue for thousands of unique products and facility designs through system integrations and engineering change processes.

Join OTS-SC as a Senior Manager of Product Management specializing in Master Data, Product Catalogue, Bill of Material (BOM) Management, and Product Change Management. In this role, you will lead efforts to optimize and scale our product data management systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across Amazon's vast IT product ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and strategic initiatives that enhance supply chain operations. This position requires strong communication skills, both written and oral, particularly for executive-level reporting and stakeholder engagement. Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives for master data, product catalogue, BOM management, and product change management to support OTS-SC's objectives and Amazon's supply chain optimization efforts.
- Lead a team in defining and implementing scalable solutions for data acquisition, quality assurance, governance, and product change processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance data integrity, and enable faster time-to-market for new products and features.
- Own the roadmap for product data management systems, balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic investments aligned with business objectives.
- Foster a culture of innovation, customer obsession, and operational excellence within the product management organization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on product data management practices, influencing senior stakeholders and advocating for best practices in data governance and standardization.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills for executive-level reporting and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in effective data management, leveraging this knowledge to drive competitive advantage within OTS-SC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience working with a cross-functional team across design, operations, and engineering team to meet high-reaching goals
- Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in product management or related roles within supply chain management, e-commerce, or technology-driven industries.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams and delivering complex projects or initiatives related to master data management, product catalogue, BOM management, or similar areas.
- Deep understanding of data management principles, systems, and tools, with experience in implementing scalable solutions to drive operational efficiencies.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and technologies is preferred, including ERP systems, data integration tools, and product information management (PIM) systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with executives and stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
- 8+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, or other relevant technologies used in product data management.
- Certification or training in relevant areas such as project management (e.g., PMP), data management (e.g., CDMP) is a plus.
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management practices to drive cross-functional collaboration and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in data governance, data quality management, and data integration strategies.
- Strong leadership capabilities, including experience in coaching and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
