POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will service as a Facilities Mechanical Integrity Engineer focused on Inspection Program Management for Gathering and Processing along with overseeing inspection services for their assigned area. The position supports MPLX's Gathering and Processing's (G&P) gas processing plants and compression stations.
This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. The actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain Compliance with GP's Mechanical Integrity program.
Develop and Maintain MPLX G&P's Risk Based Inspection protocols per API 580 standards.
Develop and Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor RBI program performance and determine appropriate risk mitigation strategies for highly critical equipment.
Facilitate the use of appropriate resources to perform inspections, RBI evaluations, and corrosion studies as necessary.
Maintain and coordinate a schedule of RBI assessments and re-assessments.
Assist with the Quality Assurance efforts for both programs and projects as assigned.
Assist with program budgeting and tracking for assigned programs and areas of responsibility.
Support assigned sites with incident reviews, management of change items, and audits within subject matter expertise.
Collaborate with assigned sites on field inspection including scheduling and managing resources, and the timely review and quality assurance of all contractor work product.
Support planned and unplanned plant outages as a fixed equipment/inspection SME.
Collaborate with other members of the Integrity and Reliability team including Planning, Reliability, and Pipeline Corrosion.
Manage other fixed equipment related special emphasis programs as assigned.
Prepare reports and other various types of documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
Conduct onsite assessments and evaluations as they relate to mechanical integrity items.
Participate in the career development process and recommend training and certifications that fit role. Maintain sufficient professional expertise and proficiency in discipline to achieve Company expectations and perform technical assignments.
EDUCATION AND JOB EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Experience with implementing or maintaining a RBI program based on API-580 and/or 581
Experience and certification in API codes (510, 570, 653, etc.) preferred.
Must have a minimum of 3 years combined fixed equipment and RBI experience. 5 years preferred.
5 years of experience in gas processing, refining, or other manufacturing industry preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Adobe
Travel expected up to 30%
