Job Title: Bilingual Spanish Shipping Clerk /Admin
Location: Bronx NY
Pay Rate: $16.00 hourly
Shift: 12 PM to completion

Overview: The Bilingual Spanish Shipping Clerk supports the shipping department by handling various administrative tasks related to the shipment of goods. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential for effective communication. This role involves processing orders, preparing documentation, and coordinating shipments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Order Processing: Receive and process shipping orders accurately and efficiently. Verify order details, including product specifications, quantities, and delivery addresses.

  2. Documentation: Prepare and manage shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, export/import forms, customs declarations, and packing lists. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and complies with regulatory requirements.

  3. Communication: Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, providing assistance and addressing inquiries throughout the shipping process.

  4. Shipping Coordination: Track shipments and provide status ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.

  5. Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, coordinating restocking efforts, and conducting periodic inventory checks. Update inventory records accurately to reflect stock movements.

  6. Customer Service: Provide responsive and courteous customer service to clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support throughout the shipping process. Ensure customer satisfaction by promptly addressing concerns and providing timely updates.

  7. Data Entry and Record Keeping: Accurately enter shipping data into the system and maintain organized records of shipments, transactions, and inventory levels. Keep detailed records of shipping activities for auditing and reporting purposes.

  8. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve shipping-related issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence, ensuring smooth and efficient shipping operations.

  9. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the shipping department and cross-functional teams to coordinate efforts and achieve departmental goals. Collaborate effectively to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall performance. Hands on lifting and moving product if needed.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international trade practices is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in using software and MS Office applications.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
