Thriving Third Party Logistics Provider is seeking an Imports Coordinator who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics processes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in logistics, warehouse operations, and international shipping.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Logistics Operations: Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring the availability of necessary inventory. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
- International Shipping: Facilitate international shipping operations, including customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with import/export regulations. Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure efficient movement of goods across borders.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve logistics issues, such as delays, damages, or shipment errors. Work closely with internal teams and external partners to develop solutions and prevent future occurrences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and import/export compliance.
- Proficiency in Magaya is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and freight forwarders.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and tools to track shipments and analyze data.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
