Childcare Assistant/Floater Teacher - Growth-Minded Organization

The Nurturing Nook, Milwaukee and Fox Point Locations, are licensed childcare centers seeking Assistant Preschool Teachers (2 and 3 year old's) and Floater teachers to support all age groups, infants-prek.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. DCF required trainings and previous childcare experience!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

Compensation: $14-$18/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each childs growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.

• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
