Overview of the Cost Accountant role:

• Review and analyze standard costs assigned to the product and purchased components.
• Responsible for annual standard cost role based on material, labor, and overhead budgets including recommendations for labor and overhead cost allocation rates.
• Support preparation and effectiveness of bill of materials and costing sheets
• Responsible for month end close entries, balance sheet audit, reserve analysis and inventory reconciliation
• Support fixed asset accounting

Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
• Three years of cost accounting experience
• Work well independently
• Effectively problem solve, prioritize, and follow through on tasks and projects
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Vlookup, Hlookup, If statements, pivot table, macros, modeling, etc)
