- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, project manager, manufacturing engineer, or related occupation
- 3+ years’ experience directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects
- 5+ years of experience in industrial, logistics, distribution, or production/manufacturing environment
- Experience with advanced data analysis skills including e.g. Minitab, SQL, MS Excel
Amazon is seeking an Manager, Operations Engineering to support the Amazon Logistics North America (AMZL NA) Shift Structure Optimization Team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the shift structures of multiple last mile delivery stations
- Partner with operations, HR, process engineering, launch, finance, sales, and operations planning to build consensus for planning
- Drive innovation in balancing priorities to maximize the utilization of Amazon assets while improving the Amazon associate experience.
- Work with key senior leaders to drive decision making.
- Effectively innovate on behalf of the customer
- Influence stakeholders and partner teams with data
- Master's Degree (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent degree)
- Certified OE Black Belt, Green Belt or Lean Sensei
- 6-Sigma Black Belts a plus
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders and the ability to work under pressure in a cross functional organization
- High level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Experience in industrial and systems engineering
- In-depth experience in Logistics, Distribution and Fulfillment processes
- Expertise in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other OE tools
