Job Description - Piping Systems Territory Sales

Position Title: Piping Systems Territory Sales

Company: Vaco Staffing is performing a search on behalf of a Multi-Billion Dollar Global industrial systems manufacturer.

Role Description: We are on the hunt for a proactive, goal-oriented sales professional to spearhead growth in untapped markets within the industrial sector. The ideal candidate will possess a knack for identifying new business opportunities and a passion for driving sales in a competitive landscape. Experience in the HVAC, industrial piping, or related fields is highly desirable, with an engineering background considered a strong advantage.

Location: Throughout Southern United States, 50% Travel

Compensation: Base Salary of $85,000 to $105,000, complemented by a robust bonus scheme offering up to 35% per quarter based on achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators. Bonuses are awarded quarterly, recognizing exceptional team contributions and individual performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively pursue sales leads and convert them into tangible business outcomes.
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with a diverse clientele, including engineering firms, facility managers, and distributors across various industries such as Food and Beverage, HVAC, Mining, Utilities, and Energy.
  • Strategically manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, with a blend of nurturing existing relationships and exploring new territories.

Location and Travel:

  • The role requires flexibility for travel up to 50% of the time across the Southern Region of the U.S.
  • Remote work setup available for non-travel days, providing a balance of field engagement and home-based operations.

Recruitment Process:

  • A two-stage interview process involving initial discussions with our recruitment team, followed by in-depth interviews with senior sales executives and subject matter experts.
  • Comprehensive onboarding, including an immersive first week at our headquarters and subsequent mentor-led field training to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Territory:

  • Developing relationships throughout the most states in the Southern region of the U.S. is crucial to our expansion strategy and key to market penetration and growth plans.

Job Requirements:

  • A driven sales professional with a proven track record in the industrial sector, capable of navigating complex sales environments and achieving ambitious targets.
  • Bachelors Degree in in Mechanical Engineering or a related-discipline and/or engineering background
  • 4+ years of high performance experience in territory sales in the areas of hvac, industrial manufacturing products, mechanical, and/or other relevant areas
  • Experience in the HVAC, industrial piping, mechanical equipment, or related fields is highly desirable, with an engineering background considered a strong advantage.
  • Technical knowledge of refrigeration/cooling systems highly-preferred
  • Understanding of piping systems and their inner-workings
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to connect with key decision-makers and influence sales outcomes.
  • Autonomous, with a high degree of initiative, but also thrives in a team setting, contributing to a collaborative sales strategy.
