General Purpose: The Attended Donation Center (ADC) Leader will play a pivotal role in coordinating and bolstering activities aimed at optimizing and maximizing donor satisfaction, store revenue and cost savings while enhancing productivity and ensuring exceptional service delivery for our donors and customers. The candidate will have a keen focus on donor and customer experience. The candid will spearhead the efficient and profitable management of the ADC/Mini Shop location. The ADC Leader is expected to champion operational excellence by adhering to Goodwill NYNJ standards and exhibiting attention to detail. Emphasizing donor experience, the leader will prioritize training, and foster a culture of continuous learning. Essential Functions: Here are the duties that define the core responsibilities of the job.
- Operate the location in accordance with its established hours of business and ensure the location is properly staffed.
- Ensure that general conditions of location always meet established standards and engage with appropriate retail and facilities leaders as needed to ensure such conditions.
- Develop and expand local donor base.
- Ensure integrity of payroll and the payroll process, by reviewing and approving payroll, time-off requests from staff, Leave of Absence requests and related documentation, ensuring all staff are trained to use the ADP mobile Application to record their time.
- Ensure performance standards and goals are met regularly.
- Control and minimize ADC expenses.
- Ensure that the premises are always safe for donors, customers, and employees.
- Ensure excellent customer relations are maintained, including training employees to greet, thank, and/or communicate our mission to donors and customers, monitoring their performance.
- Schedule interviews and recommend hiring employees as needed.
- Partner with Loss Prevention to ensure adherence to Loss Prevention policies and proactively identify trends that minimize loss Company property and funds.
- Protect store assets and inventory. Bring any Loss Prevention concerns to the Regional VP's attention.
- Manage store P&L by managing controllable expenses and labor cost.
- Effective scheduling to maintain adequate acceptance and consistent processing of donations to the extent applicable, and floor coverage to the extent applicable, while maintaining payroll budgets.
- Conduct initial training, recurrent training, or training in new skills, policies, or procedures. Process, price, tag, hang, and display merchandise in mini shops to the extent applicable.
- Establish and monitor sound cash-handling procedures consistent with company policy
- Prepare, review, approve, and/or submit sales reports, invoices, donor logs, cash reports, petty cash requests, etc. as required
- Answer employees' questions as to policies, procedures, etc. and refer to Human Resources as needed.
- Schedule and conduct periodic store-employee meetings to review company initiatives and discuss location specific matters.
- Ensure that the store is adequately but not excessively always stocked with merchandise Conduct employee bag and locker checks regularly.
- Prepare, review, approve and/or submit sales reports, invoices, donor logs, cash reports, petty cash requests
MERCHANDISING/ VISUAL - Implement and maintain all merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies.
- Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized and reflects the correct visual standards.
- Ensure presentation of all windows, displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction and are inviting to potential donors, all signage is inviting to donors.
Qualifications: Minimum educational and experience requirements/preferences.
- Some college preferred. High school diploma, GED equivalency required, or its equivalent in courses of business or marketing
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience and two (2) years of retail experience.
- Experience with supervision and training direct reports.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends. Skills Required: Describe the minimum skills required or preferred

- Directly supervises sales specialists, and donor staff. Special Working Conditions: Unusual working conditions or environmental factors.
- The work environment is mostly indoors. Donated goods may be at times dusty or soiled.
