Job Description - Automotive BDC/ Scheduler/ Customer Service

Service and Sales BDC Representatives handle inbound and outbound telephone calls, emails, live chats. Staff members engage with people who are interested in owning a new Cadillac, pre-owned vehicle, or schedule routine & corrective maintenance. The Customer Service team helps create opportunities to do business. Essential Duties:

  • Communicates effectively with Internet customers, inbound service calls, and prospects according to their preferred method of communication.
  • Has thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services. Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Directs customers to product information resources, including those available on the Internet.
  • Understands the psychology of Internet customers and works with them accordingly to bring them into the store for proper vehicle demonstration and to close the transaction.
  • Checks email frequently and responds to inquiries immediately. Delivers messages intended for other departments promptly. Notifies customers that their messages have been forwarded to the appropriate personnel for prompt attention.
  • Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail automobile sales.
  • Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Attends product and sales training as requested by manager.
  • Experience with Xtime Service Scheduler a plus.
  • Experience with Vinsolutions Connect CRM a plus.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
Job Requirements Education and/or Experience: Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred but not required. We prefer experience working within a CRM Database (Vinsolutions), and Microsoft Office applications. Language Skills: Excellent phone communication skills are a ‘must have’ for this position. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Job Type: Full-timeJob Location:
