Chef Andrew Carmellini team is seeking  BANQUET HOUSEPERSON   to join them at   THE WILLIAM VALE , a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Brooklyn's most desired neighborhood, Williamsburg. Ideal candidates possess:
*1-2 years of experience as a Banquet Houseperson preferably in a 4-5 star hotel environment or off-site catering operation.
*Basic knowledge of house equipment, setup and presentation standards.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English; multilingualism will be considered an asset.
*Always uphold Department of Health (DOH) regulations and standards.
*Excellent leadership skills and outstanding listening skills.
*Compute basic arithmetic. Job Functions:
*Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces, hallways, storage and service areas.
*Routinely inventory and care for banquet supplies such as linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware and decorations.
*Assist banquet team in pulling platters and wares for service prior to the event.
*Return clean dishes and equipment to their proper storage areas.
*Organize back of house areas to support event operations and supply management.
*Attend pre-shift meetings to review all information pertinent to the day's business.
*Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned bar and service areas, in accordance with all DOH procedures.
