Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Behavioral Specialist will support the community department program in the areas of behavior assessment, intervention, parent communication and support success of program participants, families and staff. This position will assess program quality and support improvements in processes as needed. The Behavioral Specialist focuses on a person-centered approach to ensure each child is treated individually with the child's success as the goal. Additionally, the Behavior Specialist acts as the liaison with community agencies specializing in behavior management.

Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in family and child development, counseling, social work or other related human service field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
Skills/Experience
