The University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology is recruiting for a full-time clinical faculty member to join the Oncology Hematology group. The position would be at the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor level. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment based at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake. Salary and faculty rank will be commensurate based on qualifications and rank. This position will hold an annual appointment that aligns with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position is primarily focused on providing exceptional high-quality clinical care. It is expected that the faculty member would teach medical students, residents, and fellows, and would help support clinical and translational research. The base salary range for this position will be $14,500 to $16,667 monthly commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through UW Physicians practice plan.
This range is inclusive of base salary provided through UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

Anticipated start date would be December 1, 2023.
Requirements include MD/DO (or foreign equivalent), completion of a fellowship in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology and American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) eligible or certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
Experience in GVHD and other post-allogeneic stem cell complications, as well as heme malignancy, preferably AML/MDS/MPN/ALL strongly preferred.
