Cloud data architect

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Architect to lead the development and execution of our enterprise data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience architecting and designing data solutions in public cloud environments, with a focus on integrating various data sources to enable advanced analytics, real-time insights, and personalized customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the enterprise data strategy, aligning it with business objectives and requirements to ensure effective data management and governance across the organization.
  
• Architect and design data solutions integrating customer data, marketing data, and streaming data to enable advanced analytics, real-time insights, and personalized customer experiences.
  
• Design and implement a scalable data lakehouse using Databricks, facilitating efficient data storage, processing, and analytics across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, and IT teams, to define data requirements, identify opportunities, and deliver high-quality data solutions.
  
• Participate in defining future data management architecture, aligning with value creation opportunities across the business.
  
• Perform proof of concepts, object-oriented analysis/design, assess new technologies, identify data lineage, and conduct complex data analysis and analytics.
  
• Communicate the companywide Architecture strategy and direction to both management and development teams.
  
• Stay abreast of new and emerging technologies, making recommendations on their adoption.
  
• Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas.
  
• Partner with architects across Data Science and Digital organizations to create data activation frameworks supporting real-time (or near real-time) needs.
  

Qualifications:

• Experience with multiple full life-cycle data warehouse/transformation implementations in public cloud environments.
  
• Proven experience working as an Enterprise Data Architect or in a similar role, preferably in large-scale organizations.
  
• Deep technical knowledge of at least one public cloud service.
  
• Experience with Data warehouse architecture and ETL integration (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Ab Initio, and SSIS).
  
• Deep understanding of data architectures utilizing Data Lakehouse/Data Mesh.
  
• Business and financial acumen to advise on product planning, conduct research and analysis, and identify the business value of new and emerging technologies.
  
• Strong SQL and database skills, working with large structured and unstructured data.
  
• Strong familiarity with enterprise reporting solutions (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau), data virtualization, and semantic modeling.
  
• Expertise in solution development using No-SQL data platforms.
  
• Familiarity with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile Development, DevSecOps, and common software development tools such as Git and Jira.
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey key choices, recommendations, and technology concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) or Terraform.
  
• Familiarity with Docker and docker orchestration like Docker Compose or Kubernetes.
  
• Familiarity with AI/MLOps concepts and Marketing technology (Good to have).
