Crematory Operator

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

As a Crematory Operator, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every step of the cremation process is handled with the utmost respect and accuracy. Your duties will include:

• Transporting Decedents: Safely and respectfully transport individuals between our three locations.
• Fingerprinting: Take fingerprints of the deceased with care and precision.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of all crematory equipment.
• Supply Management: Order and manage supplies to ensure smooth operations.
• Facilitating Cremations: Perform cremations following our strict processes and procedures.
• Document Management: Ensure that all identifying documents accompany the remains throughout the process.
• Medical Device Handling: Clean, sort, and log any medical devices found with the deceased.

Requirements:

Licenses: A valid cremation license and driver’s license are mandatory.

Physical Ability: You must be able to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Attention to Detail: Safety and meticulous attention to detail are critical in this role.

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $37,000 to $48,000 per year, depending on your experience.
