Job Description - Digital Merchandiser

Overview: This position is responsible for supporting HBI’s Full Potential Plan for Growing our E-Commerce Business and will help grow our Champion, Under Armour, and Gear Lifestyle Brand businesses through our Drop Ship program with key customers. This individual will be responsible for analytics, tracking and tactical execution in aligning and driving the merchandise experience for our Licensed business with key customers. This position will partner closely with the Brand Product Managers as well as other key cross-functional stakeholders to grow the Drop Ship portion of the Gear for Sports business. The individual must be analytical, self-starter, a collaborator, a great communicator and have a strong desire to learn, improve and grow the business. Position works a hybrid schedule, 3 days in office/2 days remotely, and works in the Gear For Sports office in Lenexa, KS. Responsibilities:

  • Drop Ship business point of contact for all brands
  • Drives profitable Drop Ship sales growth with a focus on the changing market dynamics, competitive strengths/weaknesses, consumer behavior, and optimal style/graphic assortments
  • Assists with on-boarding new drop ship customers
  • Manages full assortment of Drop Ship styles and graphics across all Drop Ship customers
  • Works cross-functionally with key stakeholders and manages time and action calendars and meeting cadence
  • Manages Drop Ship seasonal assortment planning across all brands and executes timeline for seasonal assortment updates, new customer onboarding and hot market/event graphics
  • Conducts online assortment, audits to ensure full assortments are represented and confirms inventory accuracy in conjunction with Drop Ship Sales Lead
  • Serves as the key customer contact for Drop Ship while working in conjunction with Sales team.
  • Partners with Drop Ship sales to understand promotional cadence and communicates with the appropriate cross-functional teams to support these initiatives
  • Works with the Brand teams to understand product lifecycle and supports new style additions as well as transitions discontinued styles and conducts inventory management
  • Works with R&D to conduct Direct to Garment testing on all style/colors and maintains up-to-date approved style/color list for all brands
  • Sets standards/best practices for how a retailer executes DROP SHIP with GFS
  • Works with Operations, Art Production and Graphic Technology to pursue opportunities for best-in-class operational excellence
  • Provides digital asset support/marketing
  • Works directly with Pricing & Item Setup team
  • Conducts weekly sales reporting
  • Manages consumer options/counts/sku productivity
  • Maintains a keen understanding of broader ecommerce trends and their application to the existing HanesBrands business
  • Prioritizes and quickly processes data to drive ongoing decision making
  • Conducts monthly forecasting for drop ship businesses with support of Customer Sales Lead and Brand Leads
Qualifications:
  • 4-year college degree (BA or BS )
  • 5+ years of previous experience in licensed market and/or leveraging a data-driven, problem-solving approach
  • E-commerce or merchandising experience with strong understanding of retail math and metrics preferred
  • Proven ability as a “thinker”, a “strategist” and a “creative mind” in order to think outside the box to be solutions focused
  • Must be process and detail oriented
  • Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with exceptional reporting capabilities
  • Exhibits leadership skills, along with strong problem solving and communication abilities
  • Proven ability to take initiative and possess strong sense of urgency
  • Subscribes to the highest standards of business ethics and Global Code of Conduct
  • Expert with Microsoft Office – specifically Excel and PowerPoint
