Position Summary
As the Director of Educational Technology, you will foster the innovative use of technology to enhance student learning and outcomes in hybrid and online learning across all divisions. Responsibilities
Promote AI Technologies: Advocate for the adoption and understanding of artificial intelligence technologies across the university. Showcase the benefits and potential uses of AI and help the university stay at the forefront of new developments.
Stay Updated: Keep a pulse on emerging technologies.
Collaborate: Partner with instructional designers and IT on the integration of the learning management system and technology tools.
Resource Management: Create and manage resources and documentation to enhance the meaningful adoption of technologies.
Faculty Support: Assist faculty in the deployment and adoption of technologies.
LMS Administration: Support LMS administration, including daily operations, identifying enhancements and customizations to meet learning goals.
Reporting: Lead the leveraging of reporting capabilities in all educational technologies.
Innovate: Research, test, and recommend technology tools for pilot and adoption as part of the Innovation team processes.
Strategic Contribution: Actively participate in and contribute to strategic discussions and ongoing planning processes.
Problem Solving: Work cross-functionally to resolve complex problems related to educational technology.
Liaison: Coordinate with the Information Technology Department as needed.
Vendor Management: Manage educational technology vendor relationships.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 4-6 years' related experience, including the use of AI.
4+ years of experience in a role focused on technology advocacy, AI, or a related area.
Strong understanding of AI and machine learning technologies.
Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software technologies.
Ability to sit for six to eight hours.
Ability to work a flexible schedule of at least 40 hours per week.
