Job Description - Division Financial Coordinator

Division Financial Coordinator Location Winchester, VA : Who We Are Valley Health System is a not-for-profit network of hospitals, urgent cares, physician practices, and services. What You Will Do: The position leads the preparation and delivery of financial statement explanation and business analysis, project management, and consulting services for VPE, VRE and Valley Partners. Other key responsibilities include the oversight and development of operating plans and financial solutions that promote an environment of effective decision-making, revenue enhancement, cost efficiency, and sound business practices. Ensures the effective and timely delivery of quality financial information to VPE, VRE and Valley Partners executives, physicians, managers, staff and other VH/non-VH customers. The position is a key liaison and “front-line” financial resource and serves to create a forward-focused guiding vision and environment of “no surprises” and exceptional customer service. Provides support for preparing monthly financial statements and reports for the entities. Accountable as the entity liaison for the auditing process and completes all financial compliance and regulatory activities including contract compliance concerning the entities. Matrix reporting relationship which includes a direct reporting relationship to the VH VP Finance/Corporate Controller and dotted line reporting to the Director of Finance for VPE, VRE and Valley Partners. What You Will Bring: Education Bachelors degree in accounting, business, health administration, finance or related field required Masters degree in accounting, business, health administration, finance or related field preferred Experience Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in the healthcare field required Certification & Licensures CPA or other related professional certification preferred Qualifications • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills. • Demonstrated experience partnering with key members of leadership to achieve favorable fiscal outcomes. • Demonstrated experience, including skill in planning, organizing and managing complex functions and projects. • Ability to effectively manage a complex, dynamically changing schedule around the needs of customers and bring a marketing mentality in providing exceptional customer service to network clients required. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment required. Ability to conduct him or herself professionally and be capable of developing and maintaining positive, service oriented relationships with all levels of healthcare professionals, both internal and external to VHS, as well as Board members, administration and others required. • Ability to learn unfamiliar concepts quickly required. • Ability to plan, coordinate and prioritize resources required.
