To learn more about Mission Technologies, click here for a short video: Job Description The Modeling and Simulation intern will work with the team in development of virtual world environments as part of a simulation architecture. The candidate will support model development, integrated environmental data, and execute underwater vehicle simulations. The candidate should be familiar/proficient in code development in C++ and Python and familiar with Unreal Engine. Essential Job Responsibilities The intern will actively contribute to the development of virtual testbeds and work closely with a mentor on the Modeling and Simulation team. A successful candidate will:

• Assist engineers in the design and implementation of virtual world environments.
• Execute UUV digital twins in the virtual environment.
• Develop sensor models required for vehicle interaction with the environment.
• Support implementation of unit testing.
• Support development of modeling and simulation references such as tutorial development and demos.
• Actively use Git version control and bug reporting throughout source code development.
• Feedback real-world data to the virtual environment to increase the virtual fidelity of integrated subsystems
  

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent + Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with more than 75% of the required credits completed. Completion of some graduate level courses is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance
