We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Clinical Training Specialist, responsible for overseeing the training and certification of U.S. and international Clinical Affairs & Training Specialists, as well as Distributor Clinical Teams. The role involves developing and maintaining clinical training materials in alignment with the company's evolving technology and applications. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-departmentally on various projects, ensuring comprehensive support and education across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Update and maintain the U.S. & international Clinical Training Program to reflect advancements in the company's technology. Deliver comprehensive clinical training for new hires and sales teams to optimize the effective use of our technology. Ensure compliance with established clinical training programs and regional regulations. Provide mentorship and support for ongoing on-the-job training and certification visits. Research and address clinical inquiries from field teams, striving to enhance patient outcomes and customer satisfaction. Identify and provide additional training for Clinical Training Specialists who require further support. Conduct train-the-trainer programs and in-house staff training as needed. Support the company's Customer Training portal/website and assist with customer onboarding activities. Maintain a library of clinical resources to keep field teams informed of changes to our core technology. Facilitate continued education sessions and manage proctoring programs as necessary. Represent the company at global trade shows, fellowships, and conferences. Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in clinical, medical, and surgical practices related to ophthalmology, including optics, IOL planning, and cataract surgery. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in developing training programs, with expertise in PowerPoint presentations. Familiarity with routine eye examinations and Learning Management Systems is preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to evolving tasks. Demonstrated experience in mentorship and continuous learning. Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time. Education, Experience, and Training: Completion of required training as outlined in the training plan for this position. Compliance with essential training requirements within the specified timeframe. Preferred qualifications include an OD degree with relevant experience in ophthalmic practice or certification such as COA/CCOA/COT/COMT with corporate industry experience. Supervisory Responsibilities: While this position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, it is expected to lead educational activities within the department and at customer sites, demonstrating role model behavior in interactions with colleagues and customers.
