Hairstylist - Apprentice

Gene Juarez Salons & Spas offers comprehensive, advanced, hands-on training for licensed hair stylists from our dedicated training team. Apprentices will master the most on-trend services that the industry has to offer, ultimately graduating to become Gene Juarez floor artists. This posting is for our Bellingham Apprentice program this summer. We are specifically looking for candidates who wish to train in both design and color to join a 16-week, fast-paced apprenticeship.

Compensation Information 

Apprentices are paid an hourly rate of $18.50.  

Employees in this position have the opportunity to earn retail product commissions and tips per program guidelines.  

 
We are looking for those who offer: 

• Active Washington State cosmetology or hair design license 
• The desire to offer both color and design services  
• 0-2 years of behind-the-chair experience 
• Ability to fully commit to 16 weeks of focused training, which includes training classes, mentorship from a GJ senior artist, and hands-on guest opportunities. 
• An ambitious mindset and dedication to grow with GJ  
• Available to work Monday – Friday from 10 am - 5 pm for the duration of the program  
• Open schedule availability, including evenings and Saturdays, upon completion of program
