J P Systems provides professional services for large Federal Healthcare IT projects. Be part of a team influencing the future of clinical data management by helping us to analyze and improve workflows across the Federal Government.



General duties of the Health Systems Specialist Mid.:



  • Participate in virtual meetings with Informatics project and client staff.

  • Provide support for HL7 international data standards initiatives.

  • Work closely with the Federal Client program office staff and JPSys Project Manager to enable the exchange of patient health information with Federal, state, and local Public Health registries to analyze and improve clinical workflows and improve the health of the population at large.  

  • Assist Senior project staff to manage health standards programs and processes throughout the development life cycle to support setting program direction, standards, and measurements for evaluation of program implementation. 

  • Advanced support in preparing reports, dashboards, progress updates, and presentations for federal briefing to key senior executives on all aspects of assigned programs. 

  • Support in conducting project reviews, document reviews, and technical evaluations. 

  • Must be skilled and highly diplomatic with stakeholder outreach and communications, and governance activities. 

  • Ensure all project documentation requirements, deliverables, and procedures are compliant. 

  • Support development and implementation of product release plans.

  • Support data standards programs and processes through the contract life cycle. 

  • Support all tasks across the PWS requirements.



Role Requirements:



  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle Health (Cerner Millenium), a large enterprise Electronic Health Records (EHR) System and transitions for Go Lives

  • Experience with supporting EHR system users

  • Strong understanding of TEFCA, Elizabeth Dole Act and large Health Information Exchanges

  • Provide analysis of Healthcare IT informatics, data quality improvement, and clinical terminology for VHA Federal Health IT projects

  • Understanding of Direct Secure Messaging and DirectTrust is desired

  • Support the project manager in determining the schedule, scope, complexity, projected level of effort, and requirements for each request.

  • Develop and improve dashboards for project reporting

  • Assist the clinicians and Informaticists with project analysis tasks.

  • Oversee ongoing communications with clients and key stakeholders.

  • Support the senior staff with executive presentations, status reports, and timely deliverables.

  • Participate in quality and process improvements based on data and best practices.

  • Provide Quality Assurance systematic review of deliverables to ensure they meet the contractual requirement and expectations of the client.

  • Provide administrative support to the Program Manager and Project Manager

  • Provide backup support to the task order Program Analyst as needed.

  • May be Deliverable Upload Lead to transfer final products to the client.

  • Maintain files and documents in a consistent and organized fashion in JPSys MS Teams, VA MS Teams, and VA SharePoint.

  • Engagement with the Federal Healthcare IT client (Veteran's Health Administration) and other stakeholders

  • Utilize informatics multiple tools and resources. Serve as a communication lead to bring weekly updates to Project Manager and Team leads.

  • Other duties as assigned.

TEFCA Implementation Support Plan 7. Dole Act Section 108 Technical Compliance Report 8. CMS Interoperability Alignment Report 9. Monthly Executive Briefs 10. Semi-Annual Technical Strategy Alignment Report


 


Skills and Qualifications:



  • 2 - 5 years' experience required for this role.

  •  Have a working knowledge of EHRs.

  • Advanced Power BI skills for design and production of dashboards

  • Working knowledge of SAFe Agile methodology or a strong desire to learn.

  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite and MS Teams is required. 

  • Have strong communication skills; executive-level report writing experience needed 

  • Will have experience conducting health-related research.

  • Possess high-level organizational skills/project management skills/experience.

  • Organization and facilitation skills to set up meetings, interview Clinical SMEs, and document findings.

  • Prompt active attendance of web-based weekly virtual project meetings by internet is required.


 


Travel:


Travel may be required for this position. Written travel approval must be obtained for every trip.



 Educational Requirements: 


A master’s degree or bachelor’s plus 2 years relevant experience, or associate’s + 4 years relevant experience required in Clinical Informatics, Health Systems, Healthcare, Business, or another related scientific discipline is required. 


Educational Equivalents:


A bachelor's degree plus 2 years' experience may be used as an equivalent to a master's degree or associate degree plus 4 years' experience may be used as an equivalent to a master's degree.

Must have high speed internet connection.
