Associate Marketing Analyst

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite), and work locations can be Westborough, MA, Berlin, CT or Brockton, MA

Contract Length: 1+ year

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Marketing Analyst to join our Marketing team. This role is pivotal in leveraging data to drive strategic marketing decisions. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing marketing data, developing insightful Power BI dashboards (some training provided), and providing actionable recommendations to optimize our marketing efforts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Analysis:
    • Gather and analyze marketing data from diverse sources, including customer relationship management (CRM) systems, website analytics, email campaigns, and more.
    • Interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform marketing strategies and enhance decision-making.
  • Power BI Dashboard Development:
    • Design, develop, and maintain robust Power BI dashboards and reports that provide stakeholders with clear visualizations and insights into marketing performance and market trends.
    • Ensure dashboards are intuitive and effectively communicate key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Excel Analysis:
    • Utilize advanced Excel techniques, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling, to analyze and present data.
    • Create detailed reports and models that support strategic marketing initiatives and business planning.
  • Campaign Performance Optimization:
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through detailed data analysis, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to design A/B tests and analyze results to drive campaign optimization and enhance customer engagement.
  • Market Research:
    • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behaviors.
    • Use research findings to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in our marketing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Customer Service, to define reporting requirements and align marketing efforts with broader business objectives.
    • Provide constructive feedback and suggestions to designers and other team members to enhance the quality and impact of marketing materials.
  • Customer Insights:
    • Analyze customer feedback and engagement data to improve customer experiences and refine marketing approaches.
    • Integrate insights into marketing strategies to better meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Communication & Presentation:
    • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and compellingly to support strategic decision-making and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in a data analytics role, preferably within marketing.
    • Proven experience in the energy sector or utility industry is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with Power BI or Tableau for creating dynamic and interactive dashboards (Power BI preferred)
    • Strong skills in Excel, including pivot tables, and preferred experience with SQL or other query tools
    • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation tools, such as Salesforce.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity.
    • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to present data and insights in a clear, concise, and engaging manner to diverse audiences.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Highly organized with excellent project management skills.
    • Proactive and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • A continuous learner with a passion for leveraging data to drive business success.
