Job Description: This company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team in Andover, MA. The Mechanical Project Manager will play a key role in overseeing mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  2. Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing client concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Team Leadership: Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians, to achieve project goals and deliverables.
  4. Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, reviewing designs, calculations, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  5. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of project deliverables.
  6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively addressing challenges and obstacles to minimize disruptions and delays.
  7. Contract Management: Manage project contracts and agreements, including scope, schedule, and budget, to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and client expectations.
  8. Documentation: Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with internal and external requirements.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management processes, methodologies, and tools, enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and client value.
  10. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering and construction.
  11. Design: Engage in design activities, contributing technical expertise and insights to the development of mechanical engineering solutions.
  12. Project Execution: Manage project execution activities, balancing design responsibilities with project management duties to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is also acceptable.(not required)
  • 4-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering project management within the building and construction industry.
  • Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and building mechanical systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex mechanical engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including ASHRAE, NFPA, and International Mechanical Code (IMC).
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability in engineering design and construction.
