Are you a string player with a passion for the tools of your trade? Shar Music, a leader in the world of string instruments and accessories, is looking for a Musician & Product Specialist – Strings to help us shape the future of the products musicians rely on.

In this unique and hands-on role, your knowledge of stringed instruments—violin, viola, cello, or bass—will directly impact how we develop, improve, and present our products. Whether it’s testing bows and strings, evaluating the design of a new case, or helping the sales team understand product benefits, your insight as a player will be essential.

You'll also work closely with marketing and product teams to write compelling product descriptions, train staff, gather feedback from customers, and support new product initiatives—all while staying tuned in to the latest trends in the string world.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate and test products with a musician’s perspective—assessing tonal qualities, ergonomics, and overall performance

• Assist the sales team by sharing product knowledge and helping demonstrate key features

• Write clear, accurate, and engaging product descriptions for the website and marketing materials

• Conduct market research to identify trends and competitor offerings

• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align product strategies with customer needs

• Provide training to internal staff to deepen their understanding of the products

• Support product launches, sales promotions, and events

• Gather and communicate customer feedback to help improve our product offerings

• Maintain detailed documentation on product performance, updates, and internal feedback

What You Bring

• Playing experience with string instruments (violin, viola, cello, or bass) is required

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• A collaborative, detail-oriented, and adaptable mindset

• Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities as needed

• Interest in product design, innovation, and solving customer pain points

• Foundational knowledge of the product development lifecycle or a willingness to learn

• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
