TITLE: Press Operator

DEPARTMENT: Cure and Finish

Full Time

Shift: 1st 5a-5p Tue, Wed, Thurs.

ESSENTIAL TASKS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

Completing setup and breakdown of molds.

Running the press.

Trimming parts in accordance with technical drawings.

Reading job travelers and interpreting technical drawings to determine press setup.

Completing production records using a computer format to maintain cost, efficiencies, inventory, and integrity.

Ensuring proper cleanliness of press, workstation, and immediate press area by following good housekeeping practices.

Operates and monitors Flat Press machine.

Sets up machines and assists others in the set-ups, when necessary.

Scans Production Orders and completed product paperwork, WIP, etc. into Transformations system.

Contact the supervisor when issues occur that may affect quality or productivity.

Promotes good housekeeping, 5S, environmental, and safety practices in all activities.

Must be able to perform all tasks assigned.

Must have the ability to solve technical issues.

Must have the ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted.
