Position Summary: We're seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team, responsible for sourcing and acquiring materials, equipment, and services to support our operations across various locations. This pivotal role requires expertise in procurement execution, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Our ideal candidate possesses exceptional negotiation skills and a talent for cultivating and sustaining positive relationships. Proficiency in all facets of procurement, including purchasing, expediting, subcontracting, and logistics, is essential. The ability to analyze metrics to enhance our procurement strategies, along with adept problem-solving abilities, is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Procurement Specialist or Purchasing Agent role, preferably within the construction industry, is preferred. Responsibilities: Implement established procurement strategies and processes across multiple business lines. Analyze key metrics to optimize program effectiveness and reduce expenses. Collaborate with operations teams to fully understand specifications, schedules, and client RFP requirements. Conduct pricing, trend, and market analyses to identify changes and assist operations teams in managing them. Determine delivery quantities and schedules based on operational needs and provide support in managing them. Evaluate bids and select suppliers based on criteria such as price, delivery, quality, and service to ensure the best overall value. Foster and maintain strong partnerships with existing and potential vendors and suppliers. Resolve supplier disputes and address product issues in the field promptly. Manage or assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors.
