Job Title: Production Supervisor (Direct Hire)

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire

Location: West Caldwell, NJ

Pay: $50-60K annually, wage commensurate of experience.

Essential job duties for this role will include:

• Manage the mixing of raw materials to create finished products according to batch sheets, maintaining a thorough understanding of all company products and mixing equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all equipment and tanks, coordinating cleaning schedules as needed.
• Oversee the transfer of finished products into pails, drums, and totes, to complete orders, while maintaining accurate inventory records and labeling of containers.
• Operate manufacturing equipment, including tanks, mixers, scales, meters, pumps, and forklifts, with proficiency and adherence to safety standards.
• Complete all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner, submitting finished product samples to the lab for approval.
• Monitor and improve productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost – conscious manner.
• Anticipate events / issues / situations and rectify them before problems develop.
• Function as a team member with other plant and company departments.
• Lead and motivate by example.
• Challenge manufacturing systems for continuous improvement.

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor with the following background profile/skillset:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a blending or mixing environment preferable Coating & Ink industry.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, GED
• Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, including safety rules, operating procedures, batch recipes, and material identification.
• Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and conversions.
• Proficiency in handling 55-gallon drums and other containers weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
• Forklift certification and basic computer skills are required.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
