Job description
Spectra Tech has a need for a Project Analyst in Schenectady, NY.The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy’s submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for a Project Analyst member to join our Shipping Container Recapitalization (SCR) team. The Project Analyst member will assist the SCR Project Manager, Unit Manager, and Advisor Engineers in project management and business support activities. Responsibilities may also include monitoring and maintaining schedules and reports, statusing and reporting schedule performance, sharepoint and folder management, technical research, or assisting engineers in completion of project tasks. Additionally, the Project Analyst may support engineering and business activities of the Reactor Servicing organization.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum four year degree in engineering/science, business, or project management, or another project related or technical field 
Microsoft Office 
Technical writing and reports
Static and Dynamic Finite Element AnalysisDesired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 or similar project management software 
Experience managing engineering projects 
Database development and management 
Strong written and verbal communication skillsEducation/Experience: Bachelors and 5-10+ years experience.** Prospective candidates likely need to obtain an L clearance before they can begin work which can take 3-6 months.
