Job Description - Project Manager - Manufacturing Operations

Are you a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager? Join our innovative team to lead and coordinate crucial projects within our fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans to ensure timely completion within set deadlines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless communication and project alignment.
  • Schedule Oversight: Maintain and update project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met and stakeholders are informed during regular program reviews.
  • Procurement Strategy: Collaborate closely with the Purchasing department to secure necessary resources and long-lead items in a timely manner.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep meticulous records of project progress, identify potential challenges, and proactively communicate solutions to management.
  • Methodology Implementation: Utilize established project management methodologies to effectively plan, organize, and mitigate risks.
  • Process Improvement: Continually assess and refine business processes to enhance efficiency and meet project goals.
  • Supply Chain Management: Leverage a basic understanding of manufacturing supply chains to optimize project outcomes.
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required to oversee project implementations and facilitate team coordination.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing and serial production environments.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certifications: PMP certification preferred; additional project management training highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with project management software.
  • Personal Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
