We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I at St John Hospital a member of Prime Healthcare. Focus will be on conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN.

 

Shift Available: Variable

Employment Type: Part-Time

Shift Hours: Tuesday Mornings and Thursday and Friday Nights

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • perform Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound, or other procedures according to department protocols, while cross training as a CT Tech
  • responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
  • interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
  • maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
  • stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
  • operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
  • maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license
  • other duties and responsibilities maybe assigned depending on department need and growth

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Registered in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State of Kansas RT licensure, or temporary permit issued by KS State Board of Healing Arts upon hire.
2. ARRT-R is required.
3. Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
4. Current BCLS (AHA).
5. Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferred.
6. At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
7. Proficient computer skills.

1. Current CRT ARRT & Fluoroscopy permit.
