What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks BI - Quantitative Modeler in Wilmington, DE (multiple positions available): 

•    Utilizing Python/SAS and robust modeling conceptual frameworks to perform quantitative predictive model development, including Probability of Default, Exposure at Default, and Loss Given Default models within unsecured consumer portfolios 
•    Performed statistical analysis, optimization procedures, monitoring process, data quality analysis, and score implementation supporting regulatory, impairment model, and business decisions process
•    Extensive data mining using Pyspark to produce simple and automated reports to identify data issues and help prepare data for model development process
•    Implement models in python-based production environments
•    Participate in overall project design and delivery with other functional teams 
•    Prepare robust model development documentation to satisfy the requirements from internal validation units, internal and external auditors, regulators 
•    Address the model validation issues for model approval, also the findings from internal auditors, external auditors, and regulators
•    Create deep-dive dashboards to explain the model performance
•    Provide other ad hoc analysis to support to BAU risk management process and other strategic business decisions
•    Apply the highest standards of controls and risk management practices and behavior
•    May telecommute

What we’re looking for:

Employer will accept:

•    Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Math, Quantitative Discipline, or related field
•    Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation

You will be working at our Wilmington, Delaware location at 125 S. West Street.  Barclays' Wilmington campus includes two beautiful buildings located along the historic Wilmington, DE Riverfront. A glance out our windows reveal a scenic look at the Christiana River, along with a growing riverfront community of luxury apartments, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
