Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Senior Product Manager for a 100% remote contract opportunity. Candidates must be based in the Central or Eastern U.S. time zones. This role will own product strategy, roadmap development, new-product innovation, and execution for professional tax software and emerging cloud-based solutions, with significant focus on client portals, document workflows, document ingestion and extraction, and automation.

CRITICAL LOCATION REQUIREMENT: Candidates must be based in the Central or Eastern U.S. time zones.

POSITION OVERVIEW
• 4–6 month contract with the possibility of converting to a full-time position.
• 100% remote opportunity for candidates based in Central or Eastern U.S. time zones.
• Own product vision, strategy, roadmap, prioritization, requirements, launch, measurement, and iteration.
• Lead customer-facing B2B SaaS product initiatives involving document workflows, portals, collaboration, secure document sharing, document collection, or workflow automation.
• Lead product initiatives involving document ingestion, extraction, OCR, classification, AI/ML, or LLM-based document processing.
• Drive 0-to-1 product development from customer discovery and validation through MVP, launch, and early scale.

COMPENSATION
• $75.00 per hour

ROLE
• Define and own product vision and roadmap across platform evolution and new-product innovation.
• Identify opportunities to improve core workflows, customer value, and new product offerings using customer insights, data, and market analysis.
• Lead planning and execution of annual tax-law updates and other deadline-sensitive product releases.
• Partner with compliance and tax-content teams to implement federal and state changes accurately and on time.
• Prioritize features and enhancements within fixed regulatory and release deadlines.
• Improve professional-user workflows including return preparation, review, electronic filing, client portals, and document workflows.
• Partner with engineering on product performance, architecture, and technical priorities.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, data, AI/ML, security, operations, sales, support, and leadership.
• Identify and validate new product opportunities through customer discovery, data, and market trends.
• Lead initiatives from ideation through validation, MVP, launch, early scale, measurement, and iteration.
• Test and iterate using experiments and customer feedback.
• Explore opportunities to apply AI, automation, and modern cloud capabilities.
• Make product tradeoff decisions based on customer value, business impact, engineering capacity, effort, reliability, and regulatory constraints.

Requirements

Requirements
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant software product management experience REQUIRED
• Direct ownership of a commercial, customer-facing B2B SaaS product area REQUIRED
• Experience with client portals, document workflows, document management, secure document sharing, document collection, document ingestion/extraction, or workflow automation REQUIRED
• Experience personally leading an initiative involving OCR, classification, extraction, AI/ML, or LLM-based document processing REQUIRED
• End-to-end product ownership across problem definition, discovery, vision, roadmap, prioritization, requirements, launch, measurement, and iteration REQUIRED
• Experience taking products or significant capabilities from concept through MVP or launch REQUIRED
• Ability to make product tradeoffs and deliver under competing priorities, limited engineering capacity, and fixed deadlines REQUIRED
• Ability to quantify product outcomes using measurable results such as adoption, processing time, revenue, retention, conversion, efficiency, support volume, accuracy, or error rates REQUIRED
• Candidate must be based in the Central or Eastern U.S. time zone REQUIRED
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship REQUIRED

Preferred
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience building or scaling cloud-based or SaaS products
• Experience with tax, accounting, fintech, or other compliance-driven software products
• Practical experience using AI throughout the product lifecycle
