Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Quality Manager to lead our manufacturing plant's quality and regulatory compliance efforts. Your role will ensure product safety, quality, and adherence to regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Quality Assurance Leadership: Develop and implement preventative quality systems and ensure compliance with established policies.

- Specification Compliance: Oversee quality testing for ingredients and finished products, ensuring all specifications are met.

- Training & Development: Train and develop operators on quality standards and procedures.

- Complaint Management: Handle customer complaints effectively, providing analytical results in a timely manner.

- Communication: Collaborate with sales and plant personnel to address quality trends, issues, and opportunities.

- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the laboratory budget, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.

- Audit & Compliance: Conduct internal, vendor, and contract manufacturing audits to maintain high standards.

- Inventory Management: Manage off-spec materials, including scheduling and reworking as necessary.

- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with company, state, federal, and international safety and regulatory policies.

  Qualifications

- Experience: 7+ years of QA management experience in manufacturing, with a focus on dairy and familiarity with the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO).

- Education: Bachelors Degree in Life Science or a related field.

- Skills:

- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and computer software applications.

- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

- Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
