Systems Administration III

Linux, Windows, and VMware Environment.

Location: Aurora, CO

Work Schedule: 5/40 schedule that includes 4 days Mon-Fri plus Saturday, (M-F schedule to be agreed to prior to start

Rate: $50 to $70 an hour with partial benefits

Clearance Requirement: Active DOD Secret Clearance

Impact:

• Install and configure hardware and Operating Systems - Linux, Windows, and VmWare
• Accomplish daily health checks, monitor, and sustain the environment.
• Integration of Off the Shelf Products
• Troubleshoot Helpdesk ticket to resolution.
• Team Player who can independently find efficient and effective solutions
• Resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Maintain security compliance requirements in a Collaborative work Environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

• Current United States Department of Defense Secret Clearance
• Over 5 years of System Administration experience in combined Linux, Windows environments.
• VMWare, vCenter, vSphere, VDI, and ESX virtual computing methods.
• Linux, Windows & VMware fundamentals to include performance monitoring and optimization, troubleshooting, patching, and security hardening.
• Advanced knowledge and execution of Information System troubleshooting, documentation, scripting, patching, and automating systems across a matrixed architecture

Desired Skill Sets:

• Server architectures upgrade, modernization documentation
• Data Backup and recovery
• Data Storage concepts and technologies
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level 2 certification or higher (CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP

Education Required: Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
