Job Description - SysAdmin/Developer ServiceNow

We are currently hiring a ServiceNow System Administrator/Developer in our Program Management Services division at our client’s Rochester office. As a ServiceNow System Administrator/Developer you play a pivotal role in successfully leading the technical implementation of the ServiceNow solutions for our clients. In this role, you will lead key collaborative client discussions to understand current and desired business processes and identity success criteria. Your technical expertise in Administration, Development, and Configuration will contribute significantly to the success of our projects. 680 Hours - Up to 17 weeks.

Salary Range: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Responsibilities

  • End-user Support: Provide support to users in accessing and using ServiceNow. Perform account management, e.g. establishing, activating, modifying, disabling, and removing accounts. Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc
  • Monitor the health, administration, and usage of ServiceNow, its applications, and servers
  • Manage instance security: user/group access, administration, access control lists, etc. • Serve as the SME/point of contact for base instance integrations, table APIs, data imports
  • Technical Documentation: Validate the completeness of the team’s documentation of configurations, customizations, data schemas, and other technical decisions.

  • User Training: Support end-user training to ensure a smooth adoption of the implemented solution.
  • Change Management: Support change management efforts by assisting senior developers, architects, and users during the transition period, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Incident and Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations. Collaborate with support teams to provide timely resolution to incidents and problems.
  • Assist in the documentation of ServiceNow configurations, customizations and processes for reference and knowledge sharing purposes. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Performs operational activities as defined by Configuration Management policies and procedures
  • Work to fulfill Configuration Management Service Requests as assigned
  • Engages with strategic projects to ensure Configuration Management can deliver required functionality within project timeframes
  • Mentors the organization on Configuration Management services, concepts, policies and procedures
  • Oversees the design, coding and testing of reports as needed
  • Collects and reports metrics as required
  • Identifies and reports non-compliance situations
  • Performs Configuration Management audits as directed
  • Identifies Service Improvement opportunities
  • Mentors and helps direct Configuration Management Specialists

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience implementing and/or supporting ServiceNow solutions
  • 3 or more years of experience working with an Agile implementation framework.
  • ServiceNow (CSA) Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist), CAS (Certified Application Specialist)
  • 2 or more years of experience working and developing with JavaScript, HTML5, Jelly, jQuery, SQL, and AngularJS.
  • 1 or more years of experience Administration of a ServiceNow instance including the management of users, groups, and roles, CMS Development, ACLs, business rules, workflows, UI actions, UI policies, dictionary, and catalog items Orchestration and Discovery experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience configuring or building multiple ServiceNow applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and best practices
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles
  • In-depth knowledge of scripting languages, including JavaScript and GlideScript
  • Extended experience with web services, including: REST, SOAP
  • Strong technical skills, including workflow configuration, and business rule development
  • Expertise in designing and implementing complex workflows
  • The ability to independently create and manage integrations with external systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate solutions
  • Detail-oriented tendencies with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques
