Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) full time years of experience providing administrative support in a customer-facing or public-facing role (related student work experience may be considered). Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a higher education setting. Experience hiring, scheduling or supervising student workers and/or employees. Experience with online test administration tools systems such as Honorlock, Proctorio, Respondus, etc. Experience with learning management systems such as Brightspace, Blackboard, Canvas, etc. Experience with scheduling systems such as, Calendly or AppointmentQuest. Experience in maintaining and updating databases
Brief Description of Duties:
The Testing Center Coordinator will oversee daily operations and management of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT’s) Testing Center. This role ensures that all tests are administered in compliance with departmental and institutional policy and privacy standards. The coordinator will hire, train, schedule and supervise graduate student proctors, and coordinate with SBU students, faculty and staff, to schedule, document and proctor exam sessions, always ensuring optimal customer service.
Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
This position will report to campus in Stony Brook, NY full time.
In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $4000 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
