POSITION SUMMARY:
Primoris Renewables is a forward-thinking organization committed to developing the next generation of industry leaders. The Apprenticeship Specialist will establish and maintain working relationships with program partners and project site teams. They will monitor sites and subcontractors to ensure all registered apprenticeship program requirements are being met and maintained, while escalating any concerns to management. The Apprenticeship Specialist will identify best practices and make recommendations on process improvement. They will support and document all apprenticeship program related activities.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide informed input on the continuous improvement efforts for operating and managing existing programs on respective project sites.
Cultivate partnerships with various workforce organizations in the markets where Renewables does business, ensuring PRE is utilizing available services to their greatest potential, while maintaining resource requirements.
Coordinate with HR and Talent Acquisition to ensure PRE is efficient in its efforts to connect with people in each respective market.
Review and document apprentice activities and performance.
Work with counterparts in other business units to make best possible use of services available from workforce partners.
Evaluate the effectiveness of each program to determine Renewable’s level of participation.
Serve as point of contact for contractors, workforce agencies, and site teams.
Assist with preparation and delivery of apprentice onboarding activities.
Represent Renewables within the workforce industry.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED
2 years of project coordinating experience.
Experience with VA benefits, GI bill, and various Veteran recruiting programs and services.
Experience with effective community outreach & engagement.
Experience using multiple technology platforms that track & manage data.
PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with multiple organizations, service providers, internal and external stakeholders, and workforce systems.
Ability to navigate workforce development applications, requirements, etc.
Strong understanding of USDOL RAP, government regulations, funding opportunities, EEO and Affirmative Action compliance related to apprenticeship programs.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Detail oriented, strong task management and organizational skills.
Adept at problem solving and critical thinking.
Strategic, innovative, and forward thinking.
High level of initiative, self-motivation, and adaptability.
