Job Summary:
DC Construction Services, a leading construction company specializing in residential and commercial projects, is seeking a reliable CDL Class B Driver to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of construction materials and equipment to various job sites. If you are a skilled driver with a Class B CDL license and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks with a Class B CDL, to transport construction materials, equipment, and tools to job sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and tools from the vehicle, ensuring proper securement and placement to prevent damage during transport.
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team, project managers, and other personnel to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself, coworkers, and the public at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and inventory management as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering materials and equipment in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a CDL Driver, preferably in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver commercial vehicles in various weather and road conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials, equipment, and tools as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
