Buyers and Purchasing Agents - Fast Hire

We are hiring a Buyers and Purchasing Agents for one of our clients in Lake Buena Vista, FL.

Job Description:

The senior procurement analyst is a highly skilled and professional position responsible for the comprehensive procurement of commodities and services within the district utilizing a high degree of independence and critical thinking.

Essential Functions:

• Consults with departments on procurement needs and advises the best method for purchasing required goods and services. Reviews department bid requests, meets with departments to discuss the procurement in detail before bid release, and ensures a high degree of accuracy for issued bid documentation.
• Meets scheduled bid release deadlines.
• Manages assigned solicitations from project inception through bid award.
• Analyzes bid clarifications and exceptions to determine materiality and communicates determination to procurement manager for concurrence.
• Develops addendum and bid tabulations within deadline.
• Reviews, approves, and processes requisitions that are compliant with purchasing procedures and within set processing deadlines.
• Sources new consortium contracts and vendors to benchmark against current purchasing values.
• Prepares or assists in the preparation of standard and complex district contractual documents including tailoring terms and conditions as needed.
• Performs vendor database management by assisting internal and external customers with adding new vendors or maintaining current vendor records with accurate and up to date information.
• Receive and verify Certificates of Insurance.
• Monitor expiration dates of Certificates of Insurance.
• Notify vendors of the need for updated Certificates of Insurance

Competency:

• Skilled in performing price and cost analysis of price proposals. Skilled in data analysis.

Education required:

• Bachelor's degree required Economics, Business or related field preferred.

Work hours:

• Monday to Friday. 8-9 am to 4-5 pm

Additional information:

• 5 days a week, 40 hrs, 12-month assignment.
