Amazon is looking for a Managing Editor who can work with a team of writers and annotators to help train our AI models to deliver helpful conversational experiences for customers. Key job responsibilities
The Managing Editor will be responsible for working with a team of writers and annotators using prompt generation and Instructional Fine Tuning to improve the fluency of our AI models. They will uphold and contribute to quality, style, and tone guidelines, while using customer feedback to continually improve Amazon’s ability to be helpful to customers. Cross-functional partnership will be key, as this team works across Product, Science, and Design teams to evaluate CX metrics, develop scalable reporting systems, and ensure continual model improvements. As a key leader on the team, this person will also contribute to tenets for GenAI experiences and add high-judgement expertise to existing and upcoming AI projects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience managing teams
- Experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
- 10+ years of communications, journalism, or marketing experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience engaging and influencing senior executives
- Experience writing and editing for a global audience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $142,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
